As I created Amber & Ash, I was in conversation with my heart, seeking a deeper ownership of my sensuality, a fuller connection to my body, and a greater intimacy with my senses. Later, when my beloved fiancé hung the piece on the wall, I gasped and exclaimed, “Wow—a woman.” Since that moment, I have been unable to unsee the beautiful feminine form that revealed herself through the work—such a testiment to the work being a mirror and bringing exactly what was needed.
